This exhibition will consist of a series of artist books, which will be displayed for visual study and exploration in the balcony space offered by the Brooklyn Public Library.

All of the books on display have a strong sense of narrative and tactility. Part of the dialog in exhibiting these works together and in a library atmosphere is to show the process of creating books that are based upon other books.

Each of the books presented at this exhibition will acknowledge its antecedent, which range from the fables of La Fontaine to Viollet-Le-Duc's treatise on the imaginary fortress of La Roche-Pont, to the book of 16th century patterns on brocade and stuffs from the National Gallery, London by Sydney Vacher.   These source books will be displayed alongside the artist books.
